About Legends Reborn
Legends Reborn is an Alliance guild on the Azgalor server (pvp) in the World of Warcraft founded at the beginning of 2007. Our roots started deep in friendship and support as our founding members set up the guild to provide themselves a means to connect easily to each other and give each other the backing needed to level and raid on a pvp server and engage the Horde. The guild continued to pvp, provided strong support for leveling and transitioned to consistent raiding in 2008. With the arrival of the Lich King expansion, the guild has set up to focus its recruiting selectively to add contributors, support the membership in reaching the level cap and forge through to the end content.
We have been around long enough to see our numbers top over 250+ and to spawn off three whole guilds’ worth of level 70 raiders! Many of those that moved on to recognized raiding guilds continue to be active on their alts in Legends Reborn. Many have returned to build the basis of our upcoming active raiders or to continue our tradition in world pvp, battlegrounds or arenas in Legend Reborn colors.
Our 2007 goals included raiding in Kara and growing our membership over 200. We succeeded at both. Legends Reborn has not been exempted from the guild drama of cultural changes and transitions into raiding! After several split offs, we reset our 2007 goals to again re-grow our guild in the last quarter to over 100 players and provide the leveling support needed to get more toons up to lvl 70. Again, we met our goals seeing our numbers rise above 125 early December and seeing several of our veterans dinging in at 70 bringing our 70 roster back up to full 10-man raid level with reserves. The run up period prior to the release of the Lich King expansion saw a downturn in raiding and a return of the focus to completing leveling professions and alts in preparation of the new content.
The focus for the guild now is to assemble consistent level 80 raid groups – a casual raid group and a hard core raid group, to address the different interests and availability of our membership. To that end, our founding tenets drive support to our membership. At level 80 raiding, again our raids focus on having fun. Sometimes too much fun! ‘Old school’ content is always being done – again, for fun – as is world pvp (raiding cities).
The main difference between ‘casual’ and ‘hard core’ raiding is time commitment and reliability. Hard core raiding, by its very nature, requires a significant time sink and a very strong track record of reliably signing up and showing up prepared for the content. Casual raiding equally expects reliability, however the time commitment is about half that of the hard core raiding group.
Overall, we recruit into our guild population mature, social members that understand respect and how to have fun. While we have a respectful guild chat, it is not “young child” appropriate and as such, we do not recruit nor accept applications from minors. Those that are under 20 and current members, have tenure and a demonstrated history of maturity. The RL ages of our guild population lends itself well to the maturer nature of our culture, our general zero-tolerance of disrespect (asshats) to members and to the instance/raid schedules. We balance that “it is just a game after all” with “it is time not spent doing other things” in an effort to be respectful of each other’s time investment by helping each other and not wasting guild members’ time.
The Legends Reborn guild is characterized by outstanding members with a strong guild-loyalty and a great understanding of the value of the guild over the individual. We put into practice ’serious’ when we are taking down a boss; however, we ‘have fun’ (like playing 70s p0rn disco music before and after first kills!) We expect all of our members to contribute and perform to the betterment of everyone else in the guild – whether that be by being prepared seriously for an encounter, or by connecting socially and participating in the guild. If these traits appeal to you, contact a member online to discuss joining Legends Reborn.
