getting a lot of questions surrounding when we are raiding. we have not ’stopped raiding’ by any stretch of the imagination. there may be some individuals whom are less available than normal these weeks in July; however, simply fill their seats with friends or pugs.
Kara raiding *every* Wed & Fri night starting at 7:30pm server time - first pull goes down at 8pm server time.
Gruul’s raiding *every* Mon night starting at 7:30 pm server time - first pull goes down at 8pm server time. This one is a bit more dodgy as we are either joining someone else’s pug or recruiting for our own pug at this time (we need to clear Kara a few more times before we are geared enough to put together a 25-man for Gruul’s). If you are a raider, be available if you can for this as it may form or not. If it does not form by 7:30 pm, hit Kara if we have not cleared it that week or go about 5-mans - esp. heroics.
PVP and 5-mans *every* Tues, Thu, Sat, Sun at 7:30pm server time, first pull at 8pm server time.
so in case you were missing the theme: 7:30pm server time every day something should be going on in our guild! if you are unable to fill a 10-man or 25-man by the time the first pull is supposed to go down (8pm server time), simply go about getting some 5-mans done (heroic or regular) or work on your pvp honor/arena points.
do what you can to preserve Wed and Fri nights for raiding - the more people online Wed and Fri nights at 7:30 pm server time, the more likely we are to be able to raid. i have had a couple of conversations with people that were more interested in letting a raid group form and “let me know when you have one and i can join it” rather than simply showing up to be counted and help form the critical mass needed for raiding. that approach does not work, as you all have witnessed over the last 3 weeks.
so when are we raiding? when everyone makes it a priority to show up on Wed and Fri at 7:30 pm server time! i do not control that (and legitimately RL can preclude folks from controlling that, too) so the best i can do is encourage everyone to set that time aside if you can, or begin setting it aside.
the fewer seats we need to pug, the quicker we can start at the planned start time and the better geared we are and hence the better set up we are to clear it quicker. ideally, i’d like to see us get to the point where we can have two distinct groups clearing it weekly (who knows, mebbe one on Wed and one on Fri?!) so that we have enough raiders geared to not require pugs for 25-mans.
our greatest challenge right now is transitioning successfully in a *sustained* manner from 5-man to 10-man dungeons. we have enough 70s and we have the right mix, we just need to get them all online at the same window of time so that we can do Kara.
how can you help? you show up at 7:30 pm server time Wed and Fri, ready to raid. and also, /poke everyone else you see in guild online every day to remind them that we raid on Wed and Fri at 7:30 pm server time and “are they going to be there?!”
